Rostelecom signed a settlement agreement resolving the situation in relation to its subsidiary CJSC "GlobalTel". As a result, the Group of companies "Rostelecom" has become the only creditor of its subsidiaries and increased its stake in its authorized capital up to 100% gained full control over the exclusive operator global mobile satellite communication Globalstar in Russia.

Russian ground segment system Globalstar includes 3 gateway stations located on the infrastructure of JSC "Rostelecom" in the Moscow region, Novosibirsk region and the Khabarovsk territory. "GlobalTel" service area includes all territory of the Russian Federation and a significant portion of the Pacific waters.

Updated Globalstar satellite constellation allows us to provide high quality of satellite telephone communication. A new generation of space vehicles has a long life, designed for at least until the end of 2025, which provides the perspective provision of mobile satellite communication services.
